The Client

Test Labs is an independent testing laboratory providing industrial clients with a host of complex analysis services, from materials identification to new technology and regulatory issues.

As Test Labs is a relatively small player in a large and crowded field, many of their competitors were significantly larger and had access to dramatically larger lead generation budgets. Therefore, the goal was to effectively use the marketing budget available to drive incremental leads – and ultimately close incremental new business opportunities.

Background

ClearLead was contracted to provide pay-per-click campaigns for Test Labs after the client had poor results with previous providers. In our discovery phase, it became apparent that their selected keywords were too general and thus would have poor conversion rates into sales.

While ClearLead was tasked with delivering a pay-per-click campaign – which we were able to offer on a fixed cost, “pay-per-results” basis – we also offered the client our performance-based SEO capabilities, as more than two-thirds of all online searchers bypass paid advertising in favor of natural search results.

The Solution

As we began our execution phase, it became apparent that we could provide a considerably larger volume of qualified traffic at a lower cost than our client’s current monthly budget.

ClearLead applied its propriety artificial intelligence (this is an AI-assisted program that tracks and adjusts to changes in the search engines’ algorithms), and developed a unique solution that precisely targeted our client’s audience in order to attract clicks “organically.” Our expectation was to boost the number of visitors while reducing pay-per-click expenditures at the same time.

Popular companies like Efficient Frontier, iProspect, and SEOinc.com, were not able to offer or develop these sophisticated technologies, nor could they promise our client lower costs.

Results

After taking over the search engine marketing campaigns for Test Labs, ClearLead enabled 80% of the client’s selected keywords to be ranked; of these, 65% are now ranked in the top 10 search results (i.e., Page 1 of the listings).

These ranks have increased the click traffic from the Natural Search going to the website by 350%. The end result is that Test Lab’s revenues have increased by 150% from the power of ClearLead Inc.’s technological advantage and innovation.
