An individual is entitled to make a well informed decision to believe in Jesus Christ and his saving grace before deciding to obtain baptism. Another area of distinctiveness is their idea of the priesthood of the believer. The Baptists believe that bible is the sole authoritative word of the God and he has revealed truth through the Bible.
