Electric Hearth Products
Electric hearth products are of three types: electric fireplace, electric log and electric stove. The popularity of electric hearth products are on the rise because they do not need a chimney and are simple to install and convenient to use and maintain. The heat output can be regulated or turned completely off; they are ideal and economical for year-round use and for the more temperate areas of the county. There can also be an environmental advantage to electric hearth products since no smoke or local pollution is created.
Small Electric Fireplace
Electric fireplaces have become popular items for smaller spaces in large homes or for smaller apartments. New technology and smart packaging bring fireplaces to small places. These small electric fireplaces are upscale furniture pieces that can be assembled with ease and plugged in anywhere for warmth and beauty. In fact, they look so real, putting out real heat that it is as though you have an actual fireplace. A small electric fireplace looks exactly like its wood/gas model counterpart. The electric fireplace does not require a chimney and can be installed easily. There are many ways to install an electric fireplace. One way is to surround and enclose the firebox and logs using a prefabricated wood mantel. Many models of an electric fireplace come with a standard or optional electric heater. You do not need any special tools to install the electric fireplace. A huge benefit of the electric fireplace is that when you move to a different home, you can take it with you unlike that of a real fireplace. That means that once you buy your new fireplace, you will have it for all of your homes, no matter how many times you move. Most of the time, you just have to remove the electric fireplace from the box, fit it in the existing fireplace opening, plug it in and turn it on. Some manufacturers may also provide decorative trimmings to add a special touch to the electric fireplace.
Electric Stove
The electric stove is a self-contained unit and can be installed practically anywhere. The electric stove plugs into any standard 120-volt outlet and some electric stove models can be operated with or without heat. An electric stove typically uses about 1450 watts of power and the energy output is around 4500 BTUs. A quiet fan system distributes the heat evenly in some models. Some electric stove models have a safety glass panel. The electric stove may have a standard or optional electric heater.
